General
No. The adhesive base stays securely bonded to your vehicle. The cover plate and the main alarm housing is unscrews and is removed from the vehicle where the alarm cartridges can be worked on and easily separated using the provided security too, letting you swap the 3 AAA batteries without affecting the adhesive pad.
