7 levels of sensitivity adjustment are incorporated into each Van Guardian alarm to satisfy a multitude of varied conditions, locational positions and applications. Yes, Van Guardian was designed with security and the end user in mind. The simple installation procedure means your vehicle needn’t be off the road or out of action. There is no additional installation cost, no awkward drilling of your van and no complicated wiring loom to install.
Van Guardian activates on contact, providing an 110dB audible alert to thwart the actions of thieves, prevent criminal damage and ultimately protect your tools and assets from potential theft.
It can be used to protect any number of vulnerable commonly targeted at risk zones on and around a vehicle. From the pipe carrier, to prevent copper pipe theft, or roof rack to protect ladders and assets, to the back door and side door of the cargo areas of a van or truck.
Van Guardian is attached with 3M high bond contact adhesives creating a powerful, lasting bond across the whole or the base area. So long as the installation cleaning procedure is followed correctly it will form a strong lasting waterproof and secure bond.
The unit, once armed, also protects itself and will trigger a two second alarm warning upon sensing any unsolicited attempted removal and will activate a 30 second alarm if the action continues.
Once fitted and armed VANGUARDIAN activates on contact and so anyone attempting to tinker with or attempts to remove it VANGUARDIAN WILL activate the 110db Audible Alarm Alert Warning !
If they persist the alarm will reactivate and continue to sound for a further 30seconds drawing much unwanted attention !
Also, We employ 3M 5952f waterproof, high bond contact adhesive backing across the whole of the base area of a VANGUARDIAN alarm. This in effect, provides an extremely strong contact throughout the whole of the base area and is actually much stronger at resisting any attempt to remove than a 4 point drill and screw procedure !
And it doesn’t make holes in your van !

In standby due in part to the high efficiency of the micro chip circuitry and low energy consumption of our speakers but typically with daily use is anywhere between 2-4 months

The procedure is simple and should take no longer than 5 mins each electronics compartment contains 3AAA batteries
All our batteries are environmentally friendly and contain no lead or mercury so are completely environmentally friendly however we would always advocate the proper disposal of batteries at your local recycle centre

You will hear it when you try to set the alarm
After you have had it a while It will be a strange “DU” “DU” sound that will get your attention ! And lasts about 7 days giving you plenty of time to carry the battery replacement
The remote has a blue light on the arm button which begins to dim when this battery runs low or if you begin to experience a diminishing response at distance when setting the alarm
Yes VANGUARDIAN alarms are water resistant even to the passing of a high pressure jet wash, and we would recommend avoiding spraying directly at it or into the alarm as the pressure from these is immense
VANGUARDIAN is currently constructed from a strong resilient pin-seal plastic, a similar material to that used by the motor industry for plastic bumpers and trims on a vehicle.
This has many advantages over metal not least it has the ability to absorb and repel impact and still retain its shape where as metal would dent and buckle scratch and possibly need replacing and can even transfer trauma to the door Panel behind.
Metal would need treating and spraying to withstand the exposed environment and the additional cost would end up been passed on to the end user and we would actually like to see the cost come down so we can offer even greater value In the further so yes

Yes you can ! Another great advantage of owning a VANGUARDIAN is that you can transfer it from your current vehicle to your next vehicle as it is transferable.
You can only remove it once you have removed the alarm compartment from the base itself.
Once the base is exposed, only then can it be removed. You will need to start to pull from one corner at first to start a peeling process
The concentrated energy from a fixed point will eventually begin to peel away the base until it comes completely off
This process will destroy the base but a new base can be purchased from our website and your existing alarm can be ready to fit on your next vehicle
You can even have it on a lease hire vehicle and remove it when the contract is up without
any superficial damage to the vehicle itself !
You will however have to order a new base.
VANGUARDIAN is not a substitute for a wired alarm system. But we do recognise the inadequacies and short comings of the standard factory wired alarm systems
